To my friends, family, and everyone who has been with me on this journey so far! I’ve been on the race for 2.5 months. It has been nothing short of a whirlwind of unique emotions and experiences. I’ve been more uncomfortable than I’ve ever been in my life. I am stared at everywhere I go, and for those of you that know me well, you know attention is not something I tend to welcome. One thing I know though, is that God still has a lot in store for me. This is only the beginning of how God is changing who I am. Never have I been so unsure and sure of myself as I have in the past few months. I am the most sure I have ever been of God’s hand in every moment of life. I am the most sure of how powerful the name of Jesus is…His name is the only reason I began this journey. I am the most unsure I’ve ever been of where I am going and what lies ahead of me. I am unsure of HOW this journey will change me, but I’m most certain that it will which still, 2.5 months in, scares me. God really has helped me to see the people that I’m serving with a new perspective, one that compels me to persevere. I know nothing of where my perspective will be in 8.5 months, but I pray that I can look back on the race and know that I gave God my everything.
To be at the end of the race in 8.5 months though, I need to raise the remaining 12% of funds I need to be fully funded! In 20 DAYS (November 9th), on my birthday, I am praying that the $2,049 will have come in! I am utterly amazed that God has provided what he has.
