This blog started a few days ago as a YUGE (President Trump voice) prayer request, but it is now a HUGE testimony! If this phrase has not been said today, I want you hear it at least once if not twice. It should ring as a song in your ear. Ready for it? GOD IS GOOD. He was good yesterday, He is good today, and He will be good forever. God’s goodness is not something that is easy to see all the time as humans. Our definition of good and God is skewed many times. We can only see what’s in front of us and not days, weeks, and years ahead…but God sees and knows it all!

This week has been a roller coaster to say the least. I have had a difficult time getting my personal finances together like I need to. It was something I wanted to handle and figure out on my own, but it turns out God wanted me to invite my supporters/friends into every aspect of this journey. It came down to this past week. My personal finances had not all come together I had hoped and needed. And few days ago, God told me to invite some specific friends and supporters to pray for me for my very specific need. I had to say another, “yes” to Jesus. I thought I was already pretty humble, but I can say this has grown my humility a great degree. As I invited many people in prayer, I wrestled with God and asked a lot of questions. One being, ” You asked me to go, but why haven’t you shown up here,”? “Here” being my personal finances. God has provided 80% of my trip funds, but I was not seeming to be blessed in my personal life that I have to leave behind. My older brother is very wise. He reminded me that Jesus’ disciples left everything to follow Jesus, but Jesus knew exactly what each of them was leaving behind! Jesus not only knows, but He cares. Thankfully, through all the prayers and a Godly, gracious, and generous couple most of what I need has been provided!

Life is going to be difficult whether or not we are obedient to what God is calling us to do. God is going to call us in this life to a continual series of saying “yes” to Jesus and saying “yes” to being obedient. The way I see it, I can choose to have a difficult life saying yes to myself, and have it lead to nothing OR I can choose to have a difficult life saying yes to Jesus and have it lead to abundant life and blessings. Blessings. That is what God promises to those who are obedient.

“Depend upon it, God’s work, done in God’s way, will never lack God’s supply!” One of my good friends recently encouraged me with this quote from Hudson Taylor, and it has proved itself true in my life, especially in this journey. If you say yes to Jesus, AND choose to be obedient, God will provide!

In 2 Corinthians 12:9 the apostle Paul says of God, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Our weaknesses lead to revelation of God’s grace and power in our lives!

TOMORROW I will fly to Atlanta and meet up with my squad, our leadership, and many supportive many parents and families. There we will pray, train, and pray some more before we fly out to Serbia/Albania on Monday! I am just $3,500 from being fully funded for trip cost!!! God is so GOOD and I know He will provide. Please pray for my team and I as we travel and serve! If you would like to support my journey financially, please do so through the link at the top of the page. And if you want to message me, you can through this blog, or I will be able to use FB messenger, and the phone app called “What’s APP”. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Love you all!

And as always, enjoy this worship song!
