Five months have come and gone already, so here are five of my favorite memories from each ministry we have experienced over the past five months. It was hard to choose just five out of so many good ones, but here are just a few that came to mind first. Hope you enjoy!!

Number one:

It was the last day with our kiddos in Cambodia and how better to spend the day than to have a day filled with snacks, dancing, and lots of laughter. While this was also such a hard day, it was also such a beautiful, care-free, last moment with some of my favorite people on the planet. We started the day with some silly games, then had some cookies and soda, and then danced our little hearts out. I became well acquainted with some of the most hip and popular Cambodian music and dance moves that day. Seriously, I wish I could go back and do this day a million times, except for no goodbyes at the end.

Number two:

The day we finished the field is a day that is hard to compete with when it comes to favorite memories. In Honduras, we had the task of clearing out a field of weeds and boy was this a task. On out last full day at Rancho Oasis, we completed most of the field, leaving only a small square and had made up our minds to call it quits, but later that night we all had a tugging on our hearts that we should get it done. So, on our last day (we were leaving later that afternoon), Ashley woke up early and went out and started working and later Drew and I made our way down while Emry and Lexi cleaned the house and we finished the last little bit. A whole month of hard work, aches and pains, tiredness, conquering bad attitudes, and really good team bonding/conversations. Finishing that field was truly such an accomplishment making that day a day for the books.

Number three:

Christmas/Christmas Eve spent in Honduras was truly an experience to remember. We woke up on Christmas Eve and went into town to get some holiday drinks. That’s right, Espresso Americano DOES have peppermint mochas. Then, we had a delicious team meal of pupusas, went home, and opened pjs (the family tradition continued!!). Then, we woke up early Christmas Morning and opened gifts from each other after having an amazing breakfast of FRENCH TOAST!! We hung out until lunch in our pjs and then got ready and went out for a pizza lunch. It was hard to be away from family, but it was good to spend it with some of my new sister. Such good memories were made that I will forever hold close to my heart.

Number four:

Just after switching countries a wonderful thing happened for Team Dynami, WE HAD A TEAM CHANGE AND GOT TWO NEW BEAUTIFUL SOULS AND BECAME TEAM SOL!! Julia and Sarah were added to our happy little family and they have made it that much happier. I seriously love them to death and I am so happy to be a part of a team along their side. It has pushed me towards so much growth. Even though this just happened about a month ago, it just feels so right. We are truly sister!! Thank you Jesus for bringing these two to our team.

Number five:

Chicken buses, one of the worst yet best parts of my day. Everyday, we have to hop on the chicken buses in order to get into town (where our ministry is) and travel back home. As you probably read a couple of blogs ago, these buses are INSANE. They are old school buses meant to fit 40ish people with about 70 people on board on a typical ride. There are three to a seat, plus people standing all through the isles while a man wiggles his way down to collect the money. I have so many different memories of getting wacked in the head with someones bag, nearly falling off of the seat, awkward interactions with Guatemalan men, cute kiddos sitting on my lap, etc. Everyday on the way to ministry we catch the same bus and the money collector man/bus drivers are the best. I have formed so many sweet relationships with locals and so many amazing memories as I travel to and from ministry each and everyday.

So here are five memories that have left an impact on my life as I have traveled from continent to continent, country to country. This experience has been truly amazing and I am glad I can let you in a little bit of my everyday!

Love you all and Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
