As many of you probably have read, my stuff got stolen, but I am so happy to say I am blogging from my computer right now and have my iPad in my possession. That’s right, I got it all back!!

The situation was quite different than I had once assumed. Yes, my stuff was taken, but turns out Swiper was one of my Squad mates, not the maintenance man who was fixing our room. She knew work was going to be done on our room that day and noticed my bag was open, laptop and iPad in sight. Out of love and protection for me and my possessions, she took my stuff out and hid it later forgetting she had done that. She never told me and while I was running around frantically trying to find it, she was at ministry. Soon after I posted my last blog, I went home from the cafe and she was at the house. Somehow, through conversation, she finally realized that the stuff I thought had been stolen was actually in her possession. Praise Jesus!!

I was so so so excited for a brief second and then my heart dropped when I realized someone had been accused for stealing my things who wasn’t guilty. He has treated it as water under the bridge and I am so very thankful for that, but one of out ministry hosts and I, along with some others, are hoping to meet up with him and apologize at some point in person when he isn’t so busy. I am thankful the lack of communication was caught sooner rather than later, so he didn’t get in any further trouble. I pray that through meeting up and apologizing we are truly able to share the love of God with him and show him who Jesus is.

Although my stuff was only gone for about 24 hours, I feel the Lord had a plan in it. Through that, I was able to find more dependence in him and to realize that material possessions are exactly as they sound, material. Although they are nice to have, they mean nothing when it comes to furthering the Kingdom here in Cambodia, the other countries I will go, and even back in the United States. He is really driving the theme of just be home for me. He means it and he wants me to get it and put full dependence in him.

The prayer requests I shared in the last blog still stand. Things are continuing to go great here in Cambodia. It is almost starting to feel like home (don’t tell my parents haha).

Love you all and thanks for all you have done to support me through this journey!!
