Have you ever said something that doesn’t make much sense just because you felt led to say it?

Well this month has been very eye-opening for me.
You see, way back at training camp, which feels like forever ago, but in reality was this year, I felt the need to tell Madison I saw a leader in her.
I had just met her four days before, so I was kind of nervous to tell her, so I prayed:

God make my words, your words.”

And the words that I said were interesting to say the least. It went something like this:
“Hey Mads, I would like to tell you I see a leader in you. I also feel like you need to grow in confidence first, but when team changes come around and you become a team leader I’ll be the first to sign my name under yours.”

As I walked away I remember thinking I had just said the biggest bologna ever. Who was I to say whether or not she would become a leader. Secondly, I don’t have a say on what team I get put on, much less do I get to sign my name under hers.

Anyhow, team changes came and I remember walking into the room not knowing what to expect, as I received my paper with my team on it.
That’s when I started to remember training camp and ask myself, what are the odds I’ll be on a team with Mads for the third time.

However when I open my paper not only am I on a team with her as my leader, but my name is also the first name under hers,

and all the craziness I had said,

actually happened.
