We’ve arrived in Cusco on Sunday afternoon. And after spending 4 days here all I can tell you about it is where you can find a bed and a bathroom.
Every time I think of how I want to meet a host, this months first impression is among the last case scenarios.
You see, as soon as we arrive and they are telling us info about the ministry and sleeping location, I have to run to the restroom, our host mid sentence.
The second impression wasn’t any better as right after dinner it all comes back up right in the middle of the kitchen (I attempted to hit the trash can, but my aim wasn’t the best).
On Tuesday it was decided I should go to the doctor, GUESS WHAT? I’ve got AMEBA.
For those that know me, also know I hate being useless and in bed… who doesn’t?
It’s been hard to be here and not be able to have done a single day of ministry. Thank God he gave me such awesome teammates, that instead of letting me feel guilty over not helping. They’ve taken the choice out of my hands, so that even if I had energy I wouldn’t be allowed to go. With that giving me time to heal and not feel like I’m falling short.
The fact that I can’t tell you what exactly we will be doing other than the English classes I hear them giving as I lay in bed typing this blog, is testimony of itself.
However I’m great full for amazing hosts we have this month, Anne and Ruth (almost same name as my sister; feel the extra love) have given me lots of love and grace. Always asking how I’m doing and having me rest.
So excited to feel better and embrace this months ministry.
Best wishes for all, and great health for me!!!
