Dear Loved Ones,
May God´s Blessings be with you and your family at this time, and I hope all is well with you.
Just to give you an update on what has been going on in my life, as well as what is coming up during the next year, I want to share with you an amazing opportunity in which I have the privilege to participate in and would like to invite you to join me.
A few years back, my greatest dream was to become the youngest female international commercial pilot. However, during the years of studying on my aeronautical science degree and many hours in different airports I came to realize there was a greater calling than that one dream. Don’t get me wrong, I still want to be a pilot, but I also want to be a missionary.
I aspire to take The Word of God to the unreached of the world. I remember as a kid reading Mathew 24:14; “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” At that time my family had to explain to me more clearly about sharing the gospel. Through the eyes of a child I could not understand why someone wouldn’t just hop on a plane and fly around shouting “Jesus is alive, God is coming!” so the whole world could hear, the end would come and I could be in the best place ever: Heaven.
Needless to say, this coming year of my life I won’t be flying around shouting “Jesus is coming” from a plane. But the Lord willing, I will be going on the World Race, where I will be showing, speaking and of course, on occasion shouting about it. This is what God has guided me and set in my heart to do.
The World Race is an 11-month mission trip during which we will be going to 11 different countries. We’ll be working with the ones in need, whether with orphans, human trafficking victims, or with contractors building new churches. We will be doing pretty much anything necessary to help the ministry in those countries. In this time, the only worldly possessions I will have must fit in a backpack and my only guaranteed accommodations will be the tent that I take with me.
Since making the commitment to go, God has shown me His support and guidance in many ways. I can’t wait to see what He has in store for the next few months as I get ready and on the trip itself. For this mission trip I need to raise US$18,017 by January 2018. These funds will be used for, but not limited to, lodging, traveling and food.
And this is where I invite you to join me in this adventure. I am in need of both spiritual and financial partners. If you’re interested in partnering with me in this calling there are a few ways you can help:
1- Become a prayer partner with me. Make a commitment to pray for me, my team, and our ministry once a week throughout the entire 11 months.
2- Talk about my journey with your friends and family, and have them pray and consider donating financially.
3- If you are able, I would be blessed if you would consider making a financial donation toward this opportunity. Your financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation, where you choose the amount, and the beginning and end date.
What is the world race?
The World Race is a mission program through Adventures in Missions, a non-denominational organization for young adults trying to find the field they would like to work on for the Lord. They encourage discipleship while helping people learn and grow closer to God by abandoning our hold to money and possessions.
What does my route look like?
We will launch in October 2017. The countries my squad will be working in are Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Swaziland, Lesotho, South Africa, China, and Mongolia, in that order but susceptible to changes.
Who am I going with?
This journey God is sending me will be with a group of roughly 25 people called my “squad.” This squad will be divided into smaller groups who will be sent to different ministry sites to help out the country by serving and showing his Love.
