Hello!
It has been a while since my last update so I wanted to let you in on some of the things we are doing these days.
My squad arrived in Pristina, Kosovo a little over a week ago. Our first week has been jam packed with sessions and outreach. We had the privilege of joining one of the three churches in Pristina for their huge evangelism outreach week: Impact Kosova 2018.
More than 350 people from 22 different nations traveled to the city of Pristina to join in and share the Gospel with the people of Kosovo.
We started each day with worship and ended it with outreach in a few different cities.
While the rest of our squad was stationed in the capital city of Pristina, my team, along with around 50 others, was sent to the city of Gjakova for two nights and Suhareka for one night.
It has been an incredible week. We have met so many people who are on fire for the Lord. We even had a little taste of home when we met a group of 10 from Texas. It was such a blessing and honor to get to know them and do ministry with them for the week.
Above all, the greatest part of the week was seeing the incredible things that the Lord did. We expected great things, but He did even greater!
We saw many come to know the Lord and make decisions to follow Him for the first time. We saw people healed. We saw lives change before our very eyes.
The Lord is stirring in the hearts of the people in Kosovo and I ask that you continue to pray as we have three more weeks here.
However, we did meet opposition this week. The pastor let us know that the Muslim community released a statement on social media that said the Christians are preaching Christ in the streets and we should not allow them to do this. This could easily put fear in our hearts but the pastor also shared with us that the message included a video of a lady sharing her testimony in the streets. In less than 24 hours, 30,000 people watched this video and may have heard the Gospel for the first time!! This message meant for evil was used for good!!
Due to the opposition that was given throughout the week, many of us spent time intentionally praying for protection over the final event, for those who had walked away from Islam and met Jesus for the first time, and against spiritual warfare.
I ask that as the days come, you continue to pray for the people of Kosovo and for us as we continue to proclaim the Gospel in the streets.
“But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper..”
Isaiah 54:17
More updates will be coming soon!
Until next time,
