K.I.M. Possible
Update:
I am back on the East Coast after this 11 month journey. Wow, I just don’t have enough words to unpack it all but I’ve learned soo much and the easiest place to start is with a huge thank you!
Thank you…
To all the many people in every country that made time to share their stories, encourage, and pray over me.
To the many people that supported me from the time where I knew nothing about the World Race and just believed in the small nudges God put on my heart.
To my family that openly listened to the call I heard and by faith chose to support me.
To my donors…YOU have blown me away. Literally God’s hand at work through your sacrificial giving allowed me to not only begin this journey but complete it.
This past year has been an unforgettable and priceless gift. I am forever impacted and want you to know that I appreciate you!
Philippines:
K.I.M is so faithful with their resources, time, and staff. As a result the ministry is growing and with continued support it won’t stop.
The last month on the race our entire squad had the opportunity to partner with Kids International Ministry. They serve the children of the Philippines through various ministry outreaches such as:
– Mobile Soup Kitchen
During the week (Monday-Saturday) the ministry goes out to bring food to the local people. Typically they team will go out twice in order to reach two different locations. The ministry’s purpose is to meet a need, share the gospel and build relationship. They are able to do these things since the teams goes to the same rotation of places throughout the week.
The food they serve is provided through an organization called Orphan Train. The team members who cook it are so thoughtful they always add eggs and chicken to the meal. These meals are sometimes the only food the may have all day.
While staying at K.I.M, the Philippines was hit by the after effects of a tropical depression, hurricane and monsoon. The after effect was flooding due to extreme and constant rains. K.I.M increased their Mobile Meals to 4 times daily at evacuation sites and gave donations of blankets to the victims.
– Supporting Education and School Meals
They have partnered with local schools to help provide adequate learning materials, facilities and meals. This helps give the children a brighter future.

– Family Planning and Birthing Clinic
K.I.M has also started a birthing clinic. The clinic supplies the pregnant moms with wkly/bi-wkly prenatal care, vitamins, and eggs. They also include a devotional in every morning the clinic is open. The daily routine is having the moms check in by date, temperature, blood pressure, and weight check. If any complications arise they are able to direct them to the clinic.
Finally, you maybe able to support the midwife, mom and baby at the time of labor. During our squad’s one month stay, at least 5-6 babies were born. We get to sit and comfort the mom and baby.
– Community Outreach
KIM also partners with the organizations all over to offer opportunities for students to receive scholarships toward schooling and bring much need programs for the kids. They also introduced community swim times by opening up the pool on site to the local families on organized swim days.
-Volunteers
The facility is able to lodge both individuals, families, and teams from all over. These teams come and offer support with KIM’s daily ministries.
