STORY TIME!!!
So it was night two here in the Dominican Republic, and we were all fast asleep in our non-air conditioned dorm. When all of a sudden we were awakened from our slumber by a 20 year old guy by the name of Nick Gold screaming “Yo! Oh my gosh! There’s a rat in here!!!” There was no rat in our dorm. What was really funny about the rat situation was that every time he was telling the story his hands depicting the rats size we’re getting bigger and bigger. Eventually the “rat” got to the be the size of a small dog and still no one believes him to this day that there was a rat in our dorm.
So It’s not been about two weeks since my squad arrived in the D.R. and we have done everybing under the sun, from chop down trees with a machete, to survive a hurricane!!!
It has been a blast and I am so thankful that this is my life for the next 8 1/2 months.
One thing that I am excited to tell y’all is that it’s not just my squad that is out hereliving these funny stories,gaining the awesome experiences, and serving in the name of the Lord there are also five other teams spread out across the globe preaching the Good News! I have a very good friend that is not with my squad in the Dominican right now but him and his squad are in India!!! His name is Logan Martini and he is one of my best friends! I worked with him at the beginning of this past summer at Pinecove and I am so glad that we bonded over that and also going on the race. Now I am so blessed that the Lord helped me reach my findraising goal before I left the states but Logan is still working on getting the last little bit of his funds in before the dead line in December. So I wanted to help and be supportive of him any way I can!
So subscribers and anyone else who reads this, I wanted to ask y’all to pray not just for my squad but also for him and his squad that the Lord would bless them and provide as he always does, and if you feel so called, to partner with him financially to help him continue the spread the word of the Lord and preach the Good News!
