It’s been awhile, but I’m trying to be more intentional with working creatively in my bible. And as usual once I started working on this page God allowed me to process some of the stuff I’ve been learning through the lens of scripture. Below you will see the art from the page, but I’ve also typed out the text I wrote on both pages for you to read. Please keep in mind it’s something between a prayer and a journal entry so excuse any grammar mistakes. Read through Ephesians (it’s a short book) for more insight.

This thing we call community is hard, but as believers we are called to it in a powerful and unique way. Over and over I’m reminded to deal with others in grace with love, patience and gentleness. I can do this because I know that I was saved by grace. Grace I didn’t deserve, that I didn’t earn, but nevertheless I received. It is because of this grace and love that I remember who I am called to be and what that means. It means I should putt off my old self and put on my new self. The self that Christ died for. The self that is patient, loving, forgiving. That is kind and tenderhearted walking in love out of darkness as a child of the light singing and making melodies to the Lord with my heart. Submitting to others out of reverence for Christ.
