My team and I left Malawi about two weeks ago. It was such a beautiful country and had some beautiful people! For the two months we were there, we had the opportunity to teach English to high school students. They were all so fun to be around and never failed to make me laugh.
There was one girl outside of my class who stood out to me. This girl always had a smile on her face! She couldn’t stop smiling for the life of her! She radiated such Joy in her spirit that was easily contagious. Her name was Loice Katengeza. Everyday during break she would walk up to me and ask all about America and what I liked to do. We spent time chatting about life in our own countries, the Bible, and taught each other hand games and small dances. I had asked her to write about herself and her family so I could share it with those back in the States…So without further to do, may I introduce to you the lovely, beautiful, and ever-smiling Loice Katengeza:

I like God. I love my family. My favorite color is blue and apple green. My favorite verses is
1 Corinthians 12:1-5
“Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.”
And Isaiah 38:1-4
”In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.” Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord , “Remember, Lord , how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah: “
