Words cannot express how grateful I have been the last few weeks. This past Sunday I hosted a spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser, and the results were phenomenal!! The support everyone has shown has been overwhelming! Not only from my friends, family, and church, but also the community. I want to give a special shout out to every single one of you.
For years now, I didn’t know where God was calling me, and over time I have had doubts whether He called me to this trip or if I just wanted it for adventure. However, recently he has proved time and time again that this is where I’m supposed to be.
Let’s be honest, $15,000 is a scary number. But that’s a GOOD THING! I mean, the fundraising it’s self has been an amazing testimony. I love watching everyone’s reaction when they ask about it. As their jaws drop and their eyes bulge out of their heads, I can’t help but laugh to my self. It seems almost impossible, but God is the God of the impossible. Nothing is too hard for Him! (Mark 10:27)
Right now I am coming up at $6,000 and about $2,000 more has been pledged bringing me to $8,000. I need $10,000 by August 22nd. I have many fundraisers going on a the moment, if you would like to check them out, please let me know! Also, about a month ago I had posted that there was an anonymous donor who is willing to match the next $500 donated. So far $400 has been donated leaving $100 left to be matched!
