Santiago, Chile. My first time in South America. My first month on the field. My first month living with 7 women. What a journey it was!

I can’t even believe that month 1 is already over and the trip to the next country is this weekend. Time is a concept I can’t even begin to grasp, it is a concept that there’s never enough of, and then there’s too much of. It’s never perfect. Guess what? God’s timing is perfect!! Can I get an amen???

Here’s to a month of amazing ministry, a month of growth, a month of joy, a month of learning, a month filled with God!! During this month my team and I did a lot of different ministry, traveled to many parts of Santiago and had many days of translating bible stories and testimonies into Spanish.

House visits- My team did about about 8 house visits a week, where we shared verses, encouragement, stories, prayed many prayers, and sang songs in english (people called us the band of singing angels…wow!) . It was a beautiful time to share God’s love, as the people we visited showered us with love, joy and lots of juice, cookies and my favorite papas fritas (potato chips)!

Womens ministry- Every tuesday we would gather with the hermanas of the church and share time with them through singing, praying, sharing and lots of laughing!

Prayer Nights- Every wednesday and some saturdays we participated in prayer nights with the church, where we prayed over those who were sick or needed encouragement. It was a time to thank God and Pastor preached on the grand commission from a different Gospel each week!

Youth ministry- Every Friday night we had a younger adult and teenager ministry where people came to hang out with us. We played games, shared chilean and american dances, sang lots of worship, and did bible studies together. There was a lot of giggles and joy!

Saturdays- Each saturday was different. We did two missional trips to other parts of Chile where we did children’s ministry and church services!

Sundays- Each sunday was a full day, we woke up and participated in teaching sunday school and supporting the teachers for the classes. Then there was a short service of prayer and worship. From there we went to a member of the churches house for lunch, where we spent a few hours eating with the family, talking and enjoying the company of our brothers and sisters in Christ! At night was the full service where we would worship, listen to a sermon, and each week one of us would share our testimony.

Adventure days- Last but not least we had about 4 adventure days, where we got to explore the city and the mountains! We got to see the city from the top of the mountain, we went on a history tour of the city, we went to a march for Jesus that only happens once a year in Chile (sooo much fun), rode the teleferica (like a gondola in the US) and went hiking in the Andes mountains (my all time favorite!!!!)

Well this was a lot of my month here in Chile, thanks for all the prayers and support! Ohh and also this month I officially became fully funded, so thanks y’all!!!

Blessings y’all or as they say in Chile…

Bendiciones!!!
