I’m sitting here on the back porch of my aunts house in 80 degree weather just realizing how much joy comes from life, how much God provides for you if you let him. I read something the other day that really made me think about what I was doing with my life. This changed the perspective that I have on life. It’s crazy how the smallest things in life can affect the way we act, think and interact for all of our days. I don’t remember exactly where I saw this but I will be forever grateful for it. It said “Why do you keep fighting the things that are happening in your life? If you keep fighting what is happening in your life then you’re fighting against God’s plan for you.” Wow. Go back and read that last sentence…. Fighting God’s plan for you and all that he has in store. This made me think of all the times I complained about the awful things happening to me or the times when I wasn’t satisfied with my life, it really made me sad to think I was fighting against God.
This realization may not completely change me, but it sure has made me stop and think when I’m unhappy with things in my life or ungrateful. Its given me a perspective to try and stop daily and focus on God. We are not perfect here on earth but perfect in God’s eyes, this verse stuck out to me in James 1:2-4 and it says “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And Let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” Each and every person is perfect in God’s eyes, so let that fuel you today.
I’m doing this new thing where I try to post more Praises within my day to day life, praises for the things God is doing in my life and for those around me!
Praise: God has provided me with over a third of the money for my World Race trip… $6,020!!! Wow, thats big money for a newly graduated college student. I praise him and thank him for this, for providing amazing people to support me on this trip.
That being said I still have to keep fundraising… I have a new fundraiser if any of you are interested.
