the world race has taught me a lot, but one of the biggest takeaways is being okay with waiting. the last three months have been full of rushing to be ready, then waiting. sometimes for hours. and hours. and hours. BUT, the Lord does some of the coolest things during the wait.
while waiting for a friend during one of the loneliest times of my life, I learned to be okay by myself.
taxis became the perfect place to have deep conversations in the busy streets on Ecuador.

I learned to ride a ripstick and got to watch Shannon miserably fail at it while waiting at a bus stop in Bangkok.
sunsets became something worth waiting for, instead of a reminder of how much time was passing.
waiting isn’t always fun, but it’s always worth it. are you waiting in an airport for 2 hours before you can even check in for your flight? find a coffee shop & talk about dogs until you start crying. are you waiting for something that isn’t coming for months? learn to live in the moment, however that looks.
