I’m coming home! Back to the great USA!

In about 6 weeks this amazing mission will come to an end, and I will begin a new mission. God has already opened so many doors for my future and they are all incredible opportunities. After a lot of prayer I feel like it’s best to keep those opportunities on hold for now. In the meantime, God has put a new mission on my heart. Something to “keep me busy” as I continue praying about my future.

Someone recently asked me how it felt to take a year out of my life to do missions. I told her that I’m not taking a year out of my life. This is my life, and my mission doesn’t stop.

So what’s next?

I believe God has called me to surrender my 1st month back home to a full time mission. Specifically, to the entire country. I’ve served and shared Jesus all over the world now, and I feel strongly that The Lord is calling me to do the same to my home country. After a lot of prayer I now have the details!

Next month my final flight will land in Seattle,Washington. From there I will be traveling as a “hitchhiking” missionary to Atlanta,Georgia. Get your maps out people, that’s a long way!

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””
Matthew 28:19-20

Now don’t freak out just yet. I did say hitchhiking, but I will not be sticking my thumb out or sitting in a ditch with a cardboard sign. I will be relying fully on God’s provision to get me to my destination. Which means I’m going to need the help of THE CHURCH! That’s you!

In Luke 10:1-12, Jesus had just set the perfect example of living a life on support. He then sends them out to do the same. He sends them as missionaries to go door to door, to ask people they did not know for room and board so they could do ministry in that city.

From the time I land in Seattle to the day I arrive in Atlanta I will need your prayers and support. I don’t necessarily need money, just transportation and a place to stay. If you have friends or family on or near my route, their help would be a huge blessing. I’m going to post my route at the end of this blog.

I know The Lord has put this on my heart, and I’m stepping out in faith and obedience to Him. I will be evangelizing and blogging throughout the entire trip. I will also be visiting churches along the way. I’m not worried at all. If God can get me around the world, he can definitely get me across the country. He is my provider. I will also be making a quick pit stop in Texas to visit my family.

That being said, I do have a tent, and a budget for busses. Although I’d much rather enjoy the company and hospitality of people in each state, I know it’s wise to have a plan B. I’ve put a lot of thought and prayer into this and I’m extremely excited to be walking with Jesus on a deeper level.

(I would like to encourage you all to read Philippians 4:10-20.)

PLEASE, message me with any questions, or if you’d like to help in any way.

HERE IS MY ROUTE:
(If you know people in these states that could help let me know.)

Seattle,Washington-Boise,Idaho-
Salt Lake City,Utah-Denver,Colorado-
Amarillo,Texas-Tyler,Texas-
Shreveport,Louisiana-Jackson,Mississippi-
Birmingham,Alabama-Atlanta,Georgia

The Why.

If you are one of those people who likes to hear the why behind things, here it is.
First of all, I’ve grown a ton in hearing from the Lord and I truly believe He has called me to do this. I try my best to make decisions that align with the Bible and my core values. I trust them both. The Bible is the word of God, and I put a lot of prayer into my core values. This decision fits both, and I can’t deny the peace I feel about it. I’m just a man, simply doing my best to live in complete obedience.

So why did I choose this route?
Obviously I chose Seattle because I’m landing there. The final destination is Georgia because my squad has a final get together there in July. I put Texas in the middle because I miss my family. It’s been a year since I’ve seen them and I really want to spend time with them.

Feel free to message me with anymore questions you have! God bless you all! Thanks for the prayers, support, and reading all of my blogs!
