You may be thinking, “Wow, this is a big deal, I wonder what spurred this decision….”
Well here’s the scoop (from Ryan’s point of view):
Initially when Megan came to me with the thought of the World Race I had a few hesitations. There was the idea of leaving jobs that we worked so hard for, leaving a city we had come to love, or just saying goodbye to family and comforts of home. Little did I know God was planning to remind me that His work doesn’t get done on my time. Months later while attending Sunday service, our pastor was preaching on serving God without hesitation and giving our lives for the Kingdom. Immediately I was convicted, it was like I could hear God asking me what I was waiting for. With tears in my eyes I looked at Megan and said, “We have to go”. At this point I was playing catch up to Megan, who months earlier presented the idea. So that same night we applied to the Race and here we are now, starting our journey to grow closer to God and to experience more of His kingdom than we have ever thought possible.
We leave January 2018 and the count down is on, time is flying and we know it’ll be here before we know it. Thank you for visiting our page and for being in our lives; we have felt so encouraged by our friends and family and we are so thankful for that.
