Hey friends!!

Our squad traveled to Argentina as a group of 50 last week to the YWAM base in Mendoza, Argentina. We have very very limited access to wifi so it has been hard to keep everyone updated but we are here and we are safe!

So far, this month has been a wild ride of unknowns and crazy adventures. My team and I worked in the kitchen, prayed over buildings in the city of Mendoza, did a ropes course with some teenagers and spent a lot of time as a squad pouring into each other.

However, this weekend was the craziest adventure on the race thus far. On Friday afternoon as we were managing the ropes course for a group of High School students, we were told to pack a bag for the weekend. The only information we received was that we were going to be in the desert. So, naturally, we piled into some trucks and two hours later we were dropped off on the side of the road in the middle of the desert with a few jugs of water and some food to last us three days. It felt like the beginning of a very scary horror movie. We’ve quickly learned though to say yes to every opportunity and to blindly trust the situations we are thrown into so when a man who spoke no English came to pick us up, we willingly traveled an hour into the middle of the desert. We arrived to a farm of domestic animals and very loving and beautiful people.

The family we stayed with sacrificed one of their sheep as a welcoming gift to us and we watched the process from start to finish. We shared in meals together of sheep ribs, pasta (with more sheep) and empanadas. We drank TONS of matte which is an herbal tea that is traditionally shared in Argentina and is very good if done right! We drove around the desert praying for people, did devotionals with the indigenous community and simply relished in the goodness of the Father while simultaneously being lost in the world.

This weekend taught me so much about being present in the moment. I saw the Father’s heart for people and the love that exists in places I never thought to look for it. The Lord has huge plans for me this year and slowly but surely He has been showing me what it means to be truly alive.

If you would like to support financially, I am still in need of funds. I am just under 5,000 dollars short of being fully funded and I need your help in continuing my journey with the Lord! Please prayerfully consider donating on my home page! I hope to continue to keep you updated as we continue our time here in Mendoza!
