Something I put together on the way from debrief in South Africa, to Malealea, Lesotho. I love and miss you all like crazy. Wifi is practically nonexistent once again, but God is already moving so much, and I can’t wait to share pictures and stories! Keep the faith, and thank you for journeying with me.
[Day 31 – 10/08/17]
Sabbath Well
We’re just a bunch of kids
I think to myself
I’m wrong
I know
But take a look outside the bus window
Dry fields
As far as the eye can see
Stagnant yellow ponds
The occasional house
That appears empty
I look at my people
We were told to sabbath well
So I’m glad to see them sleep
In peace
Peace on their faces
That resemble that of children
Yet also that of lions at rest
The potential at bay is hard to miss
Because
The leader of our pride
The author of all life
Has let us join the most incredible quest
To see His mane sweep over nations
His roar bring rain
His power pure
Unmatched
Untamed
And we would have it no other way
We are just a bunch of kids
But we are so much more
Never by our own strength
Of that I’m sure
You see
Our fear gives into faith
Our weakness paves the way
We can rest
Because our God stays awake
