What’s upppp everyone! I am finally back home down in Florida after being up in Gainesville, GA for the past 10 days or so for training camp. I cannot even begin to tell you how great it was on so many different levels. It was the first time getting to meet my squad in person. Before arriving it brought some anxiety and thoughts like, “what if I don’t like them or get along with them?” It also brought even more excitement that I was about to make so many more friends. Now that camp is over I can honestly say that these are not just new best friends, but these are my brothers and sisters – my new family. God made no mistake when He was putting together this squad. Everyone is so unique and perfect in their own way. There is a balance of strengths and weakness among the team. Spending 11 months with them being a light in darkness is going to be such a joy and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store.

Over the course of the past few weeks I had been working through the book of 1 Corinthians. It was unintentional, yet perfect timing to be in chapter 12 during camp, which talks about one body with many parts. God revealed to me about how this squad will be my new body while I am on the race.

1 Corinthians 12:14 “For the body does not consist of one member but of many.”

1 Corinthians 12:21-26 “The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it,that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

I am guilty for thinking that sometimes certain people might not be vital or important to the team. Some people that I feel like we could maybe do without, but God truly opened my eyes and convicted me on how wrong I was to have those thoughts. He showed me how important every single person is on my team and how much value everyone brings to the table. That is what’s so sweet though is everyone knowing their part, and knowing that the body will not function properly without a missing piece. Every part is indispensable. Every part is to be honored. God has composed this body, and He made no mistake in creating it the exact way that He did. I look forward to suffering and rejoicing together with this new body!

Training Camp was extraordinary. The Holy Spirit was present, prayers were answered, and a family was born. There is a still lot more to process and share, so be on the lookout for more things to come soon! If you don’t know what it is like to be a part of the body of Christ and would like to know more, please don’t hesitate in asking me more about it. Prayer Request:

You can join me in praying that our team would work together as one body, be focused on the mission to honor and glorify God with everything that we do, to go and make disciples, and that we would encourage and constantly be pointing one another back to Jesus.
