Hello all!!!

As the URL above will tell you, my name is Noah and this is my blog. I’m 21 and for the past year I have been working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in my hometown of Colorado Springs. As you may imagine, this job has been an interesting challenge and a huge blessing in my life allowing me to meet new people, explore an entirely new side to my city and new side to myself as well.

Like I said Colorado Springs is my hometown and I have lived here my entire life. Up until six months ago, I lived with my family; both parents and three brothers. My parents both own their own small businesses, my mother runs a coffee catering company and my dad has a business cleaning restaurant exhaust hoods. They both have other jobs too, my mom leading over the elementary department of our church and my dad testing super secrets software for the government. All three of my brothers live with them, two older than me (one of them is joining the Marines in a few weeks) and one younger brother.

The World Race is an undertaking that is both absolutely terrifying and incredibly exciting. The exciting part is that I will have a chance to use my spiritual gifts like leadership and teaching in new ways. I will experience new cultures and see God and His people in new and awesome ways. It is terrifying because I know God will most definitely take this opportunity to expose some of the baggage I carry with me. Also, I am definitely an introvert and spending 9 months straight with people that I haven’t met quite yet is quite daunting. Both good and bad, I’m ready for it. It will be hard and I don’t expect to emerge the same, but I do know that God is working in me and my team right now in preparing us all for the journey He has for each of us as individuals and as a team/family. Armed with that knowledge, I am ready to take on the world!
