I spent my last 10 days with my World Race Squad at the Adventures in Missions headquarters in Gainesville, Georgia. Jesus revealed himself to me in so many powerful ways. It would take me days to document everything that God taught me this past week. I truly feel like as a result of this training camp, I know Jesus better and am even more excited about launching for Swaziland in less than 7 weeks!
One of the most important things I learned during my time in Georgia was the importance of the body of Christ in accomplishing the Great Commission. My squad and I spent the ten days getting to know each other, and getting to grow in an understanding of what God is calling us to do over the next 10 months as we spread his love to everyone that we encounter. We have already seen people healed, seen chains broken off and people set free, and been able to celebrate God’s goodness together as a church. I am so excited for all that God must have in store for us!
Romans 12:4-5 says, “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” I grew up hearing this verse and prizing diversity and the body of believers that make up the Church. However, these last ten days allowed this verse to come alive to me for the first time. Now, God has blessed me with me with a new family that has helped me to understand my place even more in the Body of Christ. We are all different and unique, made in the image of God. Each and every one of us has a special relationship with God and a role to play in the Great Commission, in the going into all the World to Preach the Gospel.
I wanted to share a few pictures of my squad and my experience at Training Camp to encourage everyone who happens to read this blog that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and are a valuable blessing to their fellow believers.
My squad spend most of the nights in our tents that we pitched in a community campsite. It certainly made for some fun times!

We spent one of our nights with thirteen people crammed into a community tent. It allowed us to get to know one another and prepare for tight nights on the race!
I can’t believe how close I have already become with these ladies in only 10 days! They are such a blessing from God!
This is my whole squad- my new friends, family, and church! I cannot wait to spend my next year with these brothers and sisters sharing the love of Jesus around the world!
