God said to Cain, “But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.” Gen. 4:7

Decided to take it back to the basics this month and go through Genesis. Which is so great because Jesus is showing me so many new things about a book I’ve read a million times and when I read this verse today I was like wow. It indicates just how sneaky satan is. He is waiting in the shadows for our weak moments to come at us whenever he sees the time fit, in our weakest moments. Because he so desires to destroy us. And keep us from doing what God wants us to. From walking in His will for us.

You guys, satan is good, im not gonna lie. He’s so deceiving and can truly sometimes make something Jesus said and twist it just like he did in the garden. But all it takes is a simple “no. you have no place here, and I have dominion over you because the one who is in me is greater.” Its encouraging. We have power over anxiety, fear, depression, doubt, insecurity and so many things the enemy throws at us that usually starts as something small and ends in something that takes over our minds.

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5

As soon as satan throws a mere thought at us, we get to recognize it and literally master the thought, and make it obedient to Christ. Because the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me, I have power to say “nope. That’s not who I am and no one gets to speak into who I am but Jesus.” AND SATAN. CANT. STAY. He has to listen to you! That is freaking good news!! That’s it. say no my people. Satan doesnt get this one.
