Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

Before we left for Thailand about two months ago we were told that our ministry in Thailand would be in the city at this place called Abba House. That we would be speaking, leading worship, doing outreaches at prisons and detention centers, all the while living at a childrens home and teaching English to them, and we were rollin’ with it. Ready to jump in, even though our deepest desires were to be somewhere rural in the middle of no where Thailand. We decided that He had a better plan so we were just gonna go for it! And go hard!!

Prior to getting there the Lord spoke loudly that He was gonna have us do things at that ministry that made us super uncomfortable. That grew us a lot in things we had never done before. So we just said yes Lord. We went for it. And it was stretching and hard. But OH SO FREAKING REWARDING! He taught me so much in that month about yes Lord mentality and what it brings. About letting go and letting Him do it.

Three weeks into living there, we got to go to this place called The Little Farm in Chaing Rai, Thailand (middle of no where Thailand) for one of our off days. It was where our team leader Emma did ministry last time she led a team, about 3 hours from where we were staying and we were so excited. To go be in the jungle and just talk to Jesus. Not in the city. To breathe.

We ended up absolutely loving it just like we knew we would. From the amazing family who lived there to how the Holy Spirit just exuded off of that place. We all felt filled to the brim after a weekend in nature with the Father. With each other. With this amazing authentic family who served the Lord so well. And honestly we dreamed a dream about what it would’ve looked like for us to get to do ministry there and kind of just brushed it off because we were trying to be content like Paul. J

About a week after we got back from the Farm, we were told that we would unexpectedly be moving ministry. That our leadership team just felt like the Lord wanted us somewhere else. And we were confused and honestly really sad. We built some amazing relationships in our short month there so we were surprised. But then they turned to us and told us we would be moving to The Little Farm. In which we about cried and jumped out of our seats all at once. WHAT! The Lord is GOOD you guys.

He knew. He knew the whole time that he was gonna take our patience and content spirits and give us the desires of our hearts. Because we delighted ourselves in Him and served hard, He decided to bless us.

Now fast forward and we are 4 days from leaving the farm. We spent Christmas and New Years here. And my team is closer than ever before. I couldn’t be more thankful for a Father who gifts you with your desires as you’re obedient. For a father who gave me this absolutely AMAZING family to do holidays with. And that He put us on a farm for them that feels so much like Home. Reflecting on the last two months in awe of how much He loves us. Utterly speechless. Thank you Jesus.
