Here’s a little poem the Lord put on my heart to write:

She is a daydreamer
He is a dream maker

She purses things of the world
To fulfill the desires of her heart

He gently tugs at her heart
for her to come back to Him

She pushes Him away
because he is too pure
for her hardened heart

Time passes
He is still there
waiting for her patiently

She comes home asking
Father will you forgive me

He says
Daughter you were once lost
But now are found

She asks Him
Is this a dream
He says I’ve made all your dreams become reality

Have you ever daydreamed of something so specific and detailed you could almost feel as if you’re actually there? I’m a huge daydreamer so the times I’ve felt that are limitless. Throughout my life some of those dreams became a reality. Even though I believed in God, I still thought I was making that dream a reality. When in hind sight it was God who could orchestrate something so divine.

When something like that happens, people often blame it on coincidence or too good to be true. Because the evidence of a great creator is so grand that it’s hard to wrap our human heads around it. And that’s OK. We’ll never fully understand all the plans the Lord has for us. What I do know is he is ALL powerful and can make all dreams become a reality from the smallest to the biggest. All you have to have is Faith and Believe in Him!

Since being on the Race, I’ve had many dreams come true from living in South America, SE Asia and seeing two ancient wonders of the world. But it was in this simple moment when I was riding my bike on a dirt road in Cambodia that it hit me. This is one of those specific/detailed daydreams I had, many years ago. It was just that, me riding my bike down a dirt road. Sun on my face, wind in my hair. Living in another country. There’s only one person who I know can orchestrate such a magnificent moment. And that’s God!

Some will argue that I made that moment happen. Of course we have free will and all that. But, what most people don’t know when we transition to another country, we find out sometimes a week in advance where we’ll be living. Details are kept to a minimum for many different reasons. We also get split up into three teams in three different cities within each country we go to. So, how could I possibly have planned for that specific/detailed dream to happen?? I tell you the truth, no part of that was me. But, boy did I feel special to know my God made that specific dream happen. Just for me! How cool is it that he knows each and every single one of our names. He knows each of our dreams, desires and even struggles. He celebrates with us when we’re sitting on the mountain tops. He also cry’s with us when we’re in the valleys. He chooses us every single day, even when we don’t choose Him. He puts that desire in me to be more like Him everyday. Even on the days when I don’t feel like it. In doing so my life hasn’t been the same and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans ?15:13?
