Glory & Honor

My soul longs for you, Oh Lord,
how I love your majesty.

My soul overflows for you, Oh Father,
how I love your abundance.

My soul craves you, Oh Papa,
how I love your presence.

———

Oh Jesus, how amazing is your sacrifice,
and the power that You’ve placed within us!

Breath-taking, that you descended
From your throne in heaven
To declare an open heaven on earth.

Humbling, that you came
to heal the hurting,
to give hope to the hopeless,
to love the unlovable,
to serve the servants,
to live a naturally supernatural life.

Amazing, that you raised us up
and seated us by your side
in the fullness of your glory.

Because of you, Jesus, we have been given
all things through your Spirit.

———

Holy Spirit, how your presence is like the wind and air!

Ever present,

through the day and night,
in the darkness and in the light,
through the mountains and valleys,
in deepest sorrows and greatest victories,

You consume every part of the earth
and dwell so richly inside of us.

You have given us immeasurable riches,
more valuable than any earthly treasure;

Riches containing all wisdom, all knowledge,
all boldness, all patience, all authority,
all fullness of God.

All for the glory of Jesus Christ our Savior.

———

Your glory is
greater than the most majestic mountain,
deeper than the waves of the swelling sea,
more colorful than the most glorious sunset.

All creation is but a shadow of what’s to come;

And one day,

All creation will sing the name of Jesus!

Every knee will bow,
and every tongue will confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord of all
and ruler of all.

Oh God, this is my passion and desire:
to spread these words among the nations!

Amen!

^^This is a poem that the Spirit put on my heart this morning during my “amad” time aka an hour of uninterrupted time with The Lord that we have every morning here in Nepal. God has really been showing me new ways to spend time with Him and it’s been super fresh and fun!

This past weekend, a group of us went hiking in the Himalayas and got to see some really marvelous sights! It was such a refreshing time to get into the mountains and enjoy some laughter, fellowship, and adventure! It was probably one of the highlights of the race so far. I think a lot of that poem flowed from the amazing sights that I saw this weekend.

Here are some pix from the weekend!
