After 4 tiring days of travel, less than 20 hours of sleep, 3 flights, a sweaty bus ride through the winding roads of Cambodia’s country side and a stressful bike ride down the chaotic streets of Battambang, we made it to our first ministry host, along with a cute wifi cafe to post a short update:)
The air is wet, the sun is hot and the people are so filled with joy it is mind-blowing. Yesterday after we left the cafe, we took a long walk home. We came across a temple of some sort: it was beautifully decorated, with flags and golden statues. These two little boys came walking toward us from the other end of this long path. We waved and smiled and one of them ran up to us smiling. He wouldn’t say anything to us, but he let us take pictures of him and he had the most joyful smile. He is the first of many adorable kids I will meet, teach and be able to share with you. More updates to come SOON!
