Hello! I am so excited you are checking out my blog to see what I and the World Race are all about! Many of you reading know me well but for those of you who don’t, let me tell you a bit about myself:
I am a very energetic and extroverted person, always happy to be with friends and to find opportunities to meet new people. I am learning to play guitar, was a dancer for several years, adore coffee and tea equally, and am always looking for a new adventure and a reason to laugh.
I am 18 years old and will be graduating from Champlin Park High School the beginning of June. I also work part time at The Goddard School in Brooklyn Park. I love my job and the chance I get to hang out with kids every single day; they never fail to make me smile and lift my spirits. I attend Grace Fellowship Senior High where I am actively involved in the Senior High program, and where I have met my closest friends.
I grew up in the church and have called myself a Christian my whole life, though not to say there hasn’t been bumps in the road! I’ve spent several years struggling with anxiety and depression, but I can say that God is a great God and he has fully healed me from these mental health issues. The things God has revealed to me about myself and about who he is as my Father are remarkable, yet things I would have never known if I had not had the struggles that I had. Finding yourself in the lowest parts of life shows you how bad things can be, but once through the dark the light is brighter then ever!
God has called me to the radical path of serving him by going on the World Race, and I am so excited! I will be honest when I say that I am also very nervous for my trip and all it entails, yet I know it will be wonderful. I am ecstatic to live in a way I never have before, to meet so many new people both those in my team and the people we meet along the way, to travel and experience new cultures, and above all to spread the Word of God and to follow Him in obedience!
There’s just a tid-bit about me; please feel free to comment or contact me with any questions, prayer requests, or uplifting words!
