Hey everyone! Below is an update about my ministry the past couple weeks! But first enjoy some photos!
**Fundraising update! I am only $1,656 away from being fully funded! Praise God!! Please consider helping me meet that goal, I am already past the deadline and need to get the remainder in soon to stay on the field and continue serving!** Thanks Love and blessings!

Ok now that you’ve seen some pictures you might be able to guess. I am now a professional scraper, sander and painter! My team along with team happy feet have been painting an entire hostel/base for adventures in missions this month. By doing this we are helping the long term team be set up for success with an fresh, clean building.
It seemed like a daunting task at first. Moving incredibly heavy furniture, scraping, sanding and painting an entire hostel.
Honestly being a military brat I’ve done a lot of moving furniture and painting houses and its not my favorite thing, but.. God has taught me a lot in the past few months through manual labor ministry so I decided to head into this month with a positive attitude.
I can tell you it has been hard work but also very fun and satisfying. We would play music, pray, sing, laugh and for me sometimes get more paint on me then the walls (ok maybe most times). It took a lot of gymnastics on bunkbeds and ladders, tons of scraping and sanding and layers and layers of paint But.. I’m proud to say we have a week left here and we are almost completely done with the hostel! Its a really cool, satisfying feeling walking through the hostel and seeing fresh, clean painted walls!
I can honestly tell you I found joy doing the mundane this month. while I spent hours upon hours scraping, sanding, cutting in and painting, I bonded with my new team, laughed at my clumsiness and my painted self, worshiped the Lord and found pleasure in the details. I am a pretty detail oriented person to begin with and I found I loved prepping rooms by taping and cutting in the edges. Just yesterday I was given the honor of going over the details of the accent wall with the Picasso brush (its a tiny detail brush). It was a lot of fun and the man over seeing our job said I had crossed over from a painter to an artist! I don’t find myself to be an artistic person so it was a fun compliment haha.
So yeah, this month ministry wasn’t in a church but we got to be the church and set up a missions base for missionaries coming to serve full time here. I have so enjoyed my time getting to know the pioneer team and the long term missions team here and I’m excited to see what God has in store for them as they step into this new season!
while working in the details yesterday, I got to thinking about the little details of my day to day life and from that I have a little challenge for myself and you 😉
I encourage you, when faced with the boring day to day and the mundane, chose joy, chose to seek Gods presence. Even in the most average moment God is present, filled with expectation and longing to partner with you to build the kingdom. The smallest moment of your day can be a moment to glorify God in a new way! The smallest moment of surrender can impact someone in the biggest way!
God is not only the God big and grand, He is the God of all things and He is the God of every moment. The small moments add up quick. How much of your everyday life reflects the glory of God? <3
