At our care point in Swazi, there were so many kids. They were always filled with so much energy, spunk, and joy, which was so awesome to see. I had the privilege of getting to know one of them pretty well. Her name was Thandokuhle.

(Thanks for the pic, Jess)

Thandokuhle, or T’T’ for short, is 12 years old. She has 3 brothers and 4 sisters, but she just lives with her parents and her twin brother, Letao.

T’T’ likes school and learning a lot. She also must enjoy teaching because she tried to teach me some Siswati terms – my memory stinks though, so I don’t remember any of them.

She also loves to sing. She sang for me a few times, and her voice was BEAUTIFUL.

She told me that when she grows up, she either wants to be a doctor or a model. I told her that she could be both.

Something else that is so awesome about T’T’ is that she loves the Lord. That fact was so obvious to me whenever I spoke with her, saw her smile, or witnessed the love she had for the younger children – especially the babies.

No amount of words could rightfully describe my friend Thandokuhle. It’s clear that she is a wonderful friend, sister, and caretaker. I know that she will continue to be a great student (and teacher), and one day will be the best doctor/model there ever was. I love her so stinkin’ much and I’m glad the Lord allowed me to meet her and learn from her.

Until we meet again, T’T’.
