Two days ago, 19 racers and 1 squad leader (and 2 wonderful bus drivers) drove through the mountains for hours until we reached our ministry hosts and moved into our home for the next month. That car ride was by far one of the best that I’ve ever experienced. As we continued down – or should I say up? – the long and curvy road, the mountains kept revealing themselves to us, and thus did God’s glory. We were quickly filled with such awe and joy of what God had crafted with His hands and allowed us to see. We decided to soak it in as best as we could: by hanging out the windows, screaming, laughing, smiling, and taking lots and lots of pictures.

I’m still in awe. Words can’t even describe just how beautiful it is here in Lesotho. This place is incredible. I am so pumped that I actually get to live in the mountains for a month. Even if it is absolutely FRIGID. I guess it’s good that I like snow.

Isaiah 55:12- “For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”

And sing and clap they did.

Here’s just a glimpse of what we saw yesterday.

Like dang.

And here’s me hanging out a window. SO MUCH FUN.

So stinkin’ beautiful, Lord.

And there was a waterfall. It was amazing.

LOVE.

Team Toso Kala takes on Lesotho. I love these humans so much.

As we kept driving, it got colder. And then, SNOW. I’m in love.

And boy was it deep. (Shout out to my Chacos for bearing all weather.)

Bathroom break. Lol.

SO MUCH BEAUTY.

The view from our new home.

And here’s the view at 6:18 in the morning. Stunning. Literally, God is so cool. Also, those dogs are great. Their names are Egg Fart and Omelet Poop (thanks to the boys).

Egg Fart is a stinkin’ CUTIE.

I am SO EXCITED for this next month in Mokhotlong, Lesotho. Our ministry is going to be so many things: going to the hospital, spending time in the prison, serving at a soup kitchen, playing sports with kids, and more.

Please pray for the 20 of us that are here. Pray for hearts filled with love, openness, confidence, joy, and curiosity as we go throughout our days here. Pray that God teaches us things that we didn’t expect – things that grow us and challenge us, and things that draw us closer to this God that we get to see more of every day. Also, please pray for the other 5 teams that are scattered around Lesotho. I’m not sure what their ministries look like, but I’m sure it’s awesome.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. It’s so sweet to know that I have a family back home that’s thinking of me. Believe me when I say that I’m thinking of you, too.

Love you all and God bless,

Megan
