It has been Two Months! Two Months! Can you believe that? I most certainly cannot! These two months have been absolutely incredible! Let me tell you how.
I have experienced Two Months of growth with some amazing people. I have had deep conversations with so many people, died of laughter (and have occasionally fallen of a bench as a result), cried with people, shared in so much joy with people and have built what may turn out to be life-long friendships. The people on this Squad continue to amaze me every day and I am so glad that God placed me with them.
I have experienced Two Months of interactions with some incredible locals. These past two months have consisted of many house visits. The people I have talked to have such tragic life stories, but faith as strong as a rock. Their stories are so inspiring and have most certainly influenced my own faith journey.
I have experienced Two Months of manual labor. Being able to help people in any way possible has been so rewarding. From digging ditches to cutting the grass with a shovel (DO NOT GET ANY IDEAS MOM AND DAD) to painting houses, we have blessed people in the name of God. It has been incredible to spread the Kingdom in this way, and I am happy God led me to this spot.
I will be living in Botswana for the next Two Months! My time in Botswana is double the time I spent in Haiti or the DR respectively! That is insane, and I am sure it will go fast.
What is going to come even faster though is my fundraising deadline to stay on the Race. I need to have $14,951 in my account by December 10th. Less than a month from now! That seems so far, but if I have learned anything at all, it is that December 10th will come fast as lightning!
Right now I sit at $13,060, so I am just under $2,000 short of my goal. I need your help! If you can share this blog with anyone that may be interested in helping, it would mean the world to me! If, by December 10th, I do not meet my goal, I will be on a plane home.
God has done so much the past 2 months, and I am sure He has so much more in store for the next seven!
Thank you all for your support! I love all of you so much!
With Love,
Matt Collman
