Alex and I flew down to Colombia to meet O-Squad in the city of Medellin for their penultimate Debrief!

It was an interesting journey.

I’ve been in the States for a while now (4 months) and I’m no longer staying on couches or visiting family and friends. I have a job, I pay rent, I have my own bedroom.

Traveling down to meet my squad felt.. different.

I was no longer a squad leader traveling with my squad, I felt more like a girl traveling to meet up with some of my old friends.

Our leadership team met at our hostel the day before everyone else and by the time I saw their bus roll up the next day, I couldn’t help but bend over and laugh in excitement.

I cried tears of joy as I saw their sweet faces through the window. Hugging them, I cried mourning tears as I recognized how much I had missed them and how much of their lives I had missed in the last 4 months.

Time is flying by.

-July 14th

Well, now it’s August 21st. It’s been almost 2 months since visiting O-Squad in Colombia and tomorrow I’m headed to meet them in Ecuador for their FINAL debrief before they come back to the United States!

I’m extremely excited! I have no clue what the Lord has in store for us in Ecuador, but am expecting some good things.

Please pray for Alex and I as why fly down to Ecuador, for all of us and the locals we encounter, for really deep and healthy processing for O-Squad as they wrap up their time on the field overseas and step into the field in the USA, for safety coming back to the States, and for complete trust and surrender and dependence on the Lord through all of it.
