As I go about my daily life a phrase keeps going through my head, “what in the world have I gotten myself into?”. That thought is quickly followed with amazement that I have this opportunity. Allow me to explain…

Back in November of 2016 a friend told me about the world race. She knows that I love to travel and she had a friend who had just done the World Race and thought it might be something I would find interesting. I went home that night and scrolling through Facebook a World Race blurb showed up, I had never seen it before or at least not that I remembered. I went to their website and did some looking around. I was intrigued, to say the least.

For the next couple days I couldn’t get the idea out of my head and after throwing the idea out to my dad I applied. I figured that if this is where God was calling me I would get accepted, and if not then God had something else for me. But God has continued to open doors for me and looking back over the past couple years and how He has brought people into my life that have been instrumental in getting me involved in this, I’m awed.

What is the World Race? It is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. I know, AWESOME! The countries currently on the route (subject to change): Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay/Argentina, Cambodia, Thailand, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda. What we will be doing in each country remains to be seen! It could be anything from construction to playing with children. Ministering in whatever area we are needed.

I am so excited about this, not only is it traveling the world, something I love, but it is living in each country for a month and really getting to learn about the place and the people, it is showing the love of Christ to those who may never have felt it before. It involves backpacking, sleeping in tents who knows where, and growing in my relationship with Jesus and learning to rely on Him.

I cannot do this alone. I’m asking you, most importantly, to partner with me in prayer and if possible financially. I need $18,000 to do this it covers all my living expenses for the entire 11 months.

It’s going to be a wild ride!!!
