Well everyone, it’s here. I get on a plane that is Guatemala bound in less than 48 hours! And I still cant believe its happening. It feels so surreal. These last few days at launch have been unlike any other. It is so hard for me to put into words what it’s been like and how I am feeling. Thankfully, Austin who is a WR alumni and staff member did it for me.
Last night during our parent/racer worship session Austin approached the staged and poured his heart out to the audience. Austin has created a vision called Keys for the Journey and was gracious enough to included all of us (racers). He said he prayed about each individual racer from all three squads for God to impart on him a word that we, the racers, would receive on a key necklace. He then challenged us to seek out our word. To really lean into God and find the meaning it has for this season of our lives. Y’all I was on EDGE! I could not wait to receive my key. At the end of session my team lead gave each of us an envelope containing our key and a chain to put it on. I opened it like a kid on Christmas morning. Ripping the entire envelope in half. I finally got my key out and read my word that had been soaked in prayer earlier that day.
BOLD.
Chills ran down my spine as my mind took off! To live boldly. What does that mean?? To me the word bold embodies how the Father created us to live. He has called each and every one of us to go out and make deciples of men. Now I don’t know how many of you reading this have ever went out and evangelized, but you gotta be pretty bold with your faith in those moments. Because it takes courage and wisdom in order to step out and if you are not 100% committed, if you are not willing to step out boldly the enemy will come immediately to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10) Luckily for us he’s a loser.
So, I made it to Launch. And I am nervous as all get out. But you know what? I’m Bold. And I might not know exactly what God has in store for me through that word, but I would say I am about to find out. And I have never been so PUMPED.
