My name is Mallory Poole & I am 24 years old! I am Southern Illinois born and raised. I did a year and a half long internship in Colorado Springs Colorado at the Desperation Leadership Academy. I love reading, singing, telling stories, working as a leader in my churches youth group, going to the movies and doing just about anything outside!

I currently work at the DMV and on Wednesday nights for the last 7 years I’ve served as a high school youth leader at my church’s youth group (Grace Church) in Chester Illinois.I am very close to my parents and really my whole family. I am the middle child with 2 awesome brothers. They are both married so I now have 2 beautiful sisters who are some of my best friends! I also have 2 nieces ages 4 & 5 and a nephew who is 3 that I am sooo crazy about them!

I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was 12 years old. Ever since its been no looking back! I am a very black and white person so when Jesus says things like “go into all the world”, “leave everything behind for Me” and that through Holy Spirit we will do things like heal the sick and raise the dead, I tend to take it literally (i.e.. the world race) lol. I have such a hunger for the Word of God. I love how He is so faithful to speak to me when I spend time with Him! There is nothing quite like getting new revelation and going even deeper in the love of our heavenly Father, the faithfulness of Jesus, and the constant presence of Holy Spirit!

I believe as followers of Jesus we are called to show the same love and joy He dose as we walk through our normal day to day life. This can be as simple as a smile to someone who doesn’t look like they will return the same gesture, saying hi to the person in Walmart even when we are in a hurry and would rather be in and out, or even talking to and praying for those we know have been going through a hard time! Being a “Christian” isn’t just a title, it’s a way of life! In the early church Christians were referred to as “followers of the way” I just LOVE that! Our faith is not a job but it does require some action! Its not about the works we do but rather about us making ourselves available for Christ to work through us!

The World Race isn’t just about taking the Gospel around the world, but giving all of us the boldness and urgency to take Jesus into our own communities and jobs. Its about taking the love of Jesus into our world to those we do life with every day and learn to be brave and let our light shine. And that’s what being a Follower of The Way and the World race is all about to me!
