Its so easy to get lost in the day to day, constantly running around and not taking the time to stop and breathe. Theres always a bus to catch, food to shop for, or blogs to write.

I’ve found myself searching for the stillness in my everyday. Sometimes I happen upon it after a particularly long day of ministry when I have an hour and a half drive home. Most of the time, I have to intentionally seek it out. I’ve found a place where I like to sit and spend time with God and just rest.

Sitting in His stillness is something that I don’t feel very good at, but its a muscle that I’m learning to exercise.

A couple of days ago, I was sitting alone on the roof, listening to music and just appreciating the beauty that I am surrounded by. I started paying special attention to the birds that were flying by. A group of them would pass, but one or two would be left out of the bunch. I would hear a chirp in the distance and the lost birds would either make their way back to the group, or a bird from the flock would fly back to the bird stuck behind. I was pretty mesmerized with watching the birds and then I decided to thing about what this looks like in my life.

Jesus doesn’t call us to walk this world alone. Were called into community with other believers to help each other grow, encourage one another, and constantly seek out the Lord. Whats even cooler than that…Jesus is literally walking along side us the entire time.

When we get lost, Jesus will call so we can find our path back to Him, or He will leave the masses to come back to our side and help us walk back to Him.

“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?” Luke 15:4

Guys, thats wild. He cares so deeply for each and every one of us that He will wait for us and help us find our way back to Him. Mind. Blown.

Bottom line…sit in the stillness because God is good and will reveal parts of Himself that you’ve never seen before. Also listen to “I Am Not Alone” – Kari Jobe because its bomb and its so incredibly true.

Peace out fam, thanks for tuning in
