Friends and Family!
After a considerable amount of prayer and communication with the Lord, I have decided to partake in an 11-moth mission in October of 2017. I will be going on a trip called the World Race, through the ministry organization, Adventures in Missions (AIM). As the name somewhat states, this mission will take me all across the world. I will be visiting 11 different countries in 11 months. The countries that I will be visiting are: Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Swaziland, Lesotho, South Africa, China, and Mongolia. I will be spending one month in each place doing varying mission work, depending on the organization and what they need at the time we are there. Each day could be something new, doing anything from street ministry, construction, praying for the sick, forming community with the locals, etc.
I spent some time over the past three and a half years running from God and trying to control my own life. Spending time in the word and in prayer, I have finally felt like my faith is my own and I have a relationship with my Father! Now that I have this wonderful relationship, I have a desire to grow even further in my walk with God. My hope for this year is to be challenged in my faith and experience Him like never before. I want to learn about Him, myself, and the world, and ways that I can bring His glory to others. He has placed this incredible opportunity in front of me to go and be a missionary and share my experiences with those who have yet to hear Him.
I come to you now asking for help. I cannot do this alone and I need the support form others. First, I come to you asking for prayer, for my team and myself. The year I am on the Race will be full of crazy experiences, some good and some bad. I ask for prayer for our health- physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. I ask you to pray for our strength and courage, that we are bold in our mission and we go and make disciples, as the Lord has commanded of us. I ask for prayer of protection, to keep us safe from the evil of this world. I ask for safe travels everyday as well as lose longer travels from country to country. And lastly (for now) prayers that I will let of of control and give my life fully to the Lord in order for Hum to use me in any way He sees fit.
Next, I come to you to ask for financial support. I have to raise $18,017, which will cover all of my expenses for the entirety of the trip. I has you to consider making a donation towards my final goal. You can chose to make a one-time donation, or support me through monthly donations. Enclosed with this letter is a fundraising card (which you will need to fit out), an envelope (which I have mostly filled out), and a document explaining donating more in detail.
