The Lord has been apart of my life since I can remember. I grew up in a Christian home, attended church and youth group from the fourth grade up until I graduated high school. I knew what following the Lord meant and what being a devout follower of Christ entailed, yet when I went to college, I decided to live my life the way I thought was best for me.
I turned away from all that I knew to be true and sought comfort else where. After three and a half years of living the “college lifestyle” and my best friend constantly pushing me to pursue Christ, I finally came to the realization that I haven’t been living the life that I wanted, or the life that Christ wanted for me. I started attending church (and actually paying attention to the sermons), I regularly read scripture, and I began to pray. I started to understand what it meant to have an intimate relationship with God. This made me realize that throughout high school, my relationship with the Lord wasn’t my own. I based by beliefs and my relationship off of others and what I watched them experience.
I finally understand what it means when people say that they have a relationship with the Lord. I am in constant communication with Him for all things and He is faithful in His steadfast love.
My hope for this year long journey is to continuously be challenged in my faith and rely on nothing but the Lord to provide for me and my team. I am so excited to grow in my relationship with the Lord and follow His call to wherever it leads me.
I will be posting about my successes, failures, experiences, relationships, or anything else that pops up along the way. If you’re interested in following my journey, this is where you will find all of that.
I hope that you are just as excited as I am to see how the Lord uses me and my team and I thank you for taking the time to read about me!
