I hope you are doing well! On May 12, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. My dream has always been to work in the aerospace industry designing rockets, and I am extremely close to that goal. However, for the past year and a half, I have been feeling like there is something else I should do immediately after graduation. About a year ago, I felt God call me to dedicate a year to missions. When I return, I plan to design rocket propulsion systems, but right now, God’s calling makes so much sense and answers my questions regarding what I should do this coming year.
I started looking into different organizations and missions programs to find one that interested me, and I learned about the World Race, which is run by the organization Adventures in Missions. Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational organization that trains and sends people to build relationships, work on service projects, and spread the gospel around the world. They have many programs, from week-long missions trips to long-term ministries. I will be going on the “World Race – Gap Year”, a nine-month long trip that usually goes to five countries. My squad will travel to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Swaziland, Lesotho, India, and Nepal – six countries!
One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip, but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, repair old buildings, dig wells, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
First, I ask that you would join me and my squad as a part of our prayer team – please pray for our safety and God’s favor for our team. Second, one of my greatest challenges is my financial support. Like most other missions organizations, World Race participants are required to raise financial support. In order to leave fully funded in September 2017, I need to raise $14,951. I also need to reach the following milestones: $5,000 raised by June 15, and $10,000 by August 25. The deadlines are coming soon, but God can do great things! This money will cover field and travel expenses during the nine months of the trip, which averages to about $400 per week.

As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you consider helping support my trip by sending a donation? Many people find it easiest to give $25, $50, or $100 a month through December, when the full amount must be raised. You can also give a one-time gift. For example, $400 would cover approximately one week of my trip. Just click the “Donate!” button on the left side of the page to get started. You can also click the button under my profile picture to receive email updates on my journey. Thank you so much!
In Christ,
