On Saturday night, we had a worship concert in Menanteles and honestly we were a little disappointed by the turn out. It was pouring rain and nobody wanted to walk through the muddy street to get to the concert. But the Lord still moved in incredible ways with people sharing their testimonies as well as through the worship.

The Lord reminded me of some incredible things that I probably wouldn’t have noticed if there were a ton of people there. Within the first couple of songs led by some of my squad mates, the presence of the Holy Spirit was so thick in that coliseum. During the 3rd song, I saw one of my squad mates Jake outside on his knees in the rain worshiping the Lord and it was incredible to see. I saw a man in absolute reverence of the Lord.

A few songs later, I saw Jake running around in a circle with a kid on his shoulders having an absolute blast and in that I heard the Lord so clearly tell me “Don’t forget to have fun with me.” So often when I spend time with God, it’s always serious and deep in reverence, which is so important. But, sometimes I forget that the Lord wants us to enjoy life with Him! He’s a God who wants to be involved in every part of our lives, especially the fun. Thank you Jake for being such an example of living the Christian life to the fullest.

Sometimes things don’t go according to our plan, but the Lord’s plan is so much greater than our own.
