Hello friends, supporters, family, and to whoever is reading this blog post. I am here to inform and invite you all into something I have been asked to do this summer. As most of you know, I got back in May from my World Race: Gap Year trip, of which I traveled the world for nine months and got the privilege of serving and living in 6 different countries. If you’ve been following my journey over the past couple of years, you probably realize that international missions is a huge part of my life and my heart. Which is why, upon returning home from the race I didn’t know what was next. Was this the end of my relationship with international missions? The last hoo-raw?
Surely not. It couldn’t be. How could I have done all of that for it to simply, stop? I began to pray, and ask the Lord for opportunity to do what I love most.
A couple weeks into praying, I was thinking of where my desire for the world race started, back on my mission trip to Guatemala through a different branch of Adventures in Missions called Ambassador. Hard to believe that I was in Guatemala over 2 years ago now. Man how time has flown.
I am so passionate about these trips, for the people, for the participant missionaries, for the good of the souls of our human race. Agh, how my heart earned and desired for it.
AND NOW, an opportunity has knocked on my door. Coming full circle, where it all started with the program Ambassador. I have been asked to LEAD a group of high school students to Swaziland for the one whole month this coming summer!!! Thats right, I am going back to Africa for a whole month! Never did I necessarily think that I would have what it takes to be a leader of one of these trips that have changed my life time and time again, but nevertheless the Lord is equipping me as He calls me. As you may see at the top of this screen, I am now officially starting the fundraising process again. The main difference being, this time I am raising $2,497 contrary to the $16k I raised this past year. I know the Lord is going to provide for this season no matter how big or small, the number is.
