Yo, yo, yoooo!! Month six has officially ended which means with that, my time in Malawi has come to a close. These two months have been nothing short of awesome, but for some different ways than I would’ve expected when I first arrived. These two months were filled with many spiritual  & emotional hardships. So many times in the last two months I was ready to throw the towel in, ready to give up, and ready to quit fighting. I’ve been tested time over time here through temptations, through spiritual warfare, and through the enemy telling me straight LIES. Don’t get me wrong though ~~ remember, I said these two months were awesome. Heres why:

These two months were awesome because I am reminded that even when I walk through the valleys and I am surrounded by darkness I have a savior who is there in the highs and the lows!!!!! He is capable of pulling us out of our lowest spots, and boy ~ He did. If you have kept up with my previous blogs, I have been very vulnerable about where I’m at emotionally. Its been hard, but the Lord has still been so good in this. He has been so good to me even in the midst of a dark season.

But now ~~ I am trudging forward into a new season, one I see being filled with a lot of light & a lot of love. So today I am thankful for even the dark times, that make the good times so very bright.

LEMME TELL YA ABOUT WHAT THE LORD DID THOUGH THESE TWO MONTHS!!!!

CAMP AGAPE. A dream come to life. For those of you who know me well, you know something I am so passionate about is a summer camp called pine cove. Well, in Malawi I got to combine the world race and pine cove to make one, and camp agape was born. My Team Leader & I put together a weekend day camp for kiddos in the local area of Lilongwe between the second and eighth grade. Going into it we knew that putting on camp in Africa was honestly a long shot and if we were gonna pull it off we were gonna have to be all in. So we dove full speed into getting it together. We got a date, got sign ups started, bugged the kids at the local school, stood in parent pick up lines, and PRAYED that Lord would use this. Day before camp came around, and I went to the principals office at African Bible Academy to see how sign ups at the school were doing and we only had twenty kids signed up. We had already decided that whatever the number was, that the Lord could use it regardless. It was however a tad discouraging that we had put so much work going into this and only 20 kids were signed up. I prayed big and held my faith high. I begged the Lord to overwhelm me with the amount of last second sign ups, that we would be flooded with kids who wanted to come to camp. By the end of the camp, we had about 65 kids signed up. Hallelujah. Thats 65 more kids in this world that I know have heard the Gospel. 65 kids that got to experience how fun it is to serve / worship the Lord ~~ go ahead and gimme an AMEN. Yea. We worshipped with these kids and they had a blast. We sang, we danced, and we declared the name of Jesus LOUDLY. Several kids asked Jesus into their hearts and are now beloved brothers and sisters of the kingdom!!! I will never forget the unity that came together amongst several teams on my world race squad coming together to work this camp, I am truly thankful.

A MISSION: TO LOVE AND TO BE LOVED. I set aside a mission for myself during my stay in Malawi through the rest of the race ~~ that I would love the world through the eyes and heart of my king Jesus. That I would show love. That I would show kindness, gentleness, and accountability to those I come in contact with everyday. Strangers, teammates, and friends. Im excited to see how I will continue to live out this mission.

Now you’re all up to speed, except that I am now on the way to a new season of the race. I am currently on my way to my next (& LAST) country, ECUADOR. I am excited to bring a new mindset to this new season. A mindset of a winner. A mindset of community. A mindset of trust. A mindset of running after Jesus as fast as I can. These last six months have been something I have dreamed of for so long, and its so hard to believe that I am already 2/3 of the way done. Here’s to the next three months. Africa will be missed, but I am now on my way to Ecuador going full speed ((or at least 885 km/h haha) no literally I’m on the plane to Ecuador right now). South America, I see a future full of brightness, promises, and goodness. Lets do this thang.
