One minute I’m standing in a dining room in Guatemala filled with my 40 squadmates. I’m fully emerssed in the presence of God and the spirit is moving. The next, I’m transported.
Now I stand on golden tile rather than white. Surrounded by the tallest pillars. Everything in white and gold. I’m no longer wearing my jeans and sweatshirt, I’m now in my flowy white dress. No longer is my hair in a messy bun, it’s long and flowing with flowers intertwined. I no longer stare at the white wall but the brilliant face of my God.
As I continue to sing His praise He smiles down on me with pride and joy in His eyes. They never leave me because He’s too busy delighting in my praises to devide His attention.
He pulls me closer and I’m no longer standing before Him, I’m with Him on His throne which overlooks the whole world. With the whole world in sight He still looks at me.
Then He’s pulling me deeper into the palace. We emerge in the most glorious garden I’ve ever seen and He smiles watches me as I wander in awe. I turn to see He’s made me a crown of delicate flowers and He places it on top of my head. As He takes my hand, we reach the center of the courtyard and we dance. He twirls me around and around on top of a glassy pond. Toes grazing the cool water, faith like Peter, eyes locked on His. We dance on top water surrounded by beauty.
As the music fades He picks me up in the biggest warmest hug. He holds me tight as if He’ll never let go and whispers in my ear “I’ll never let that happen to you again. You’re MY daughter now.”
We collapse in the grass in the sweetest embrace. As I look up I see another figure entering the garden. I’m up and running before I know it and hugging and laughing with my beautiful little sister.
We run as I show her around the garden and I turn to see God wiggle His fingers. Just at that millions of butterflies begin to appear and we chase them marvelling at their beauty.
We continue to play, all 3 of us, until the sun goes down. As the sky fades to black my sister and I fall asleep on the cool grass, exhausted but filled from such a wonderful day. Our Heavenly Father scoops us up and places each on a hip. He walks us back through the palace to a large golden room with a large canopy bed.
After tucking us in He doesn’t leave. He sits at the foot of our bed. Keeping watch, guarding and protecting us. Just like He promised earlier.
I open my eyes and I’m back to the white wall. The jeans and messy bun and 40 familiar faces. God speaks to me in a few different ways but one of these is through visions.
A while ago I was given feedback to start looking at God as not only a friend but as a King and a Father. Never before this had I been to the palace. Never had I seen Him on a throne or understood His true power and glory. But now we meet here often. Him on His throne, my hands and face lifted to Him from the palace floor.
He calls me His precious daughter. His people collector, His warrior.
I meet Him here not only to praise Him as His servant but to approach Him as His worthy Princess to request His favor for others. As my heart grows to allign with His, I meet Him here more and more vouching for those who need Him but don’t know Him. And when I approach His throne in this way, He never fails to call more and more of His children home to our palace.
