I honestly never thought I’d reach the day when I got to say this but…I’M FULLY FUNDED!!!!
God has always provided but $20,000 takes a lot of faith to raise. There were days I was positive I wasn’t going to make the deadline. There were times I stress cried for hours on end thinking I was in way over my head. But God provided. Every deadline. Every single one He pulled through. Jesus got me here.
You may have noticed, I was pretty MIA on social media for a while. This was because all my tech broke down on me. BUT it was a very refreshing time AND it taught me even better reliance on God. I was without tech for about a month and a half. This also happened to be the time leading up to the final deadline for fundraising. Pressure rose. But I took this as a sign to simply trust God through it all.
As always, in that awesome way He does, He lead our leadership to the decision to extend our squads deadline by a month. Of. Course.
All through the fundraising process I can say with ease that it was a time of serious growth with the Father. I hated the idea of fundraising from the very start but faith and obedience got me here. Fully. Funded. Wow.
Lots of times Jesus asked me for small leaps of faith and after some tentative contemplation I would give over and He’d give me my next step. And then the next. And the next. Each time He’d pull me through it. More often than not, kicking and screaming.
Fundraising was A LOT of stress and tears and frustration and doubt. It was also a lot of trust and perservierance and growth and reward. It was worth it. All of it. To be living this life, learning to love like Jesus, becoming my best self and living in His world. Each smile I’ve come across, each hug I’ve recieved, each breathtaking view I’ve experienced has all made it so so worth it.
Thank you all SO much for all your prayer and support up to this point. Please continue to pray for the remainder of my time on the feild and all the people we have and will come into contact with.
Moral of the story, Jesus is a pretty awesome dude and all His plans are perfect.
