Hi everyone! It’s crazy to think in exactly one year I’ll be in a different country serving God. It’s an amazing opportunity and I am excited to share it with everyone.
I’m going to start out and talk a little about myself. I am 17 and a senior in high school. I love going on adventures, hanging out with my friends and family and worshiping God. I have a very loving family and amazing friends.
My entire life has been surrounded by God. Going to church almost every Sunday, attending Sunday school as a child being involved in my youth group (RCYF), church camp and being a leader at TEC (Teens Encountering Christ). I found out about the World Race through a friend at Lake View church camp. I followed up on her blog and I started watching videos and reading other blogs! I was set on going until the devil started tempting me and getting in the way. I blew it off and began going my way and not God’s way. After going to TEC and church camp this past year I was finally on the right path with God again. One day I began thinking about the World Race so I decided to look up the routes for the gap year. I began to pray a lot about it and one week during church the message was about discipleship and that’s how I knew God was telling me to do this mission! I’m so excited to go on this race for God and to be a servant for Christ 🙂
