For the last ten days V-Squad has been here in Georgia training for the next eleven months on the international mission field. In other words, they’ve been at Training Camp for The World Race.

It’s been ten days of learning all about Jesus, the Gospel, Holy Spirit, God, His Love, His Word, His Heart, His mission, our call, ministry, worship, community, identity, forgiveness, inner healing, physical heath, rest, cultural lenses, contextualization (changing our perspective in order to deliver the Gospel to different cultures. Not the Gospel message).

Training camp is a stretching time. However, it gives them/us the tools to go into the field and do well. The message “Mission is life. Life is mission” gets ingrained into our minds. It’s the starting point to living a life for the Kingdom of God.

That being said, the World Race is ultimately a starting point. A platform to launch from. Racers go out for eleven months following the Holy Spirt. They learn and experience the Kingdom. They learn to take ownership. They discover all kinds of things about themselves and the rest of the world. Then they come back and continue what the Father started in them on the Race. Meaning they continue to live on mission because mission is life and life is mission. What that actually looks like is different for everyone. Could be they rejoin the workforce, go back to school, start their own business, lead the next generation of Racers, become full time missionaries, etc. The options are limitless.

I’m sharing all of this to celebrate with you and let you know that for the next three months God has given me the honor and privilege to be a part of this incredible thing He is doing. He’s growing and challenging me in leadership (and honestly who knows what else) for this season of my life. And I want you to partner with me in this new thing God is doing. Prayer is key, financial donations are appreciated, and encouragement is always welcomed. Thank you!
