As I prepare to board that last flight in just three short days I wanted to share some major lessons/take-aways/revelations that the Father has shared with me over the course of this journey:
• Our time here on Earth is not to anxiously await getting to the Kingdom of God. It’s to reveal and bring God’s Kingdom here.
• God created me, you, and everyone else solely and simply to be loved.
• We can reveal God’s Kingdom exactly where we are by simply being who He created us to be. Be authentic.
• Abiding in Christ Jesus is the only way to live life.
• Our life on earth is the only chance we get to praise God in the midst of struggles. It’s a privilege to do so. “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope…” Romans 5.
“God wants to make sure your character can uphold your calling.”
• God is ALWAYS good. He is without a doubt our Good Father.
• God’s creation is indescribable in beauty as is He.
• The world isn’t at all a scary place; but it is in need of hope. That Hope is Jesus.
• There is a big difference between sin and struggle. Struggling is normal. Sins need to be repented of. Also, some struggles can be the fruit of an underlying sin. Find the root and pull it out. Grow flowers not weeds.
• The magnitude of our sin is big and real. It separates us from our Good Father. Who would want that!? Remember to repent.
• God’s wrath is real and mighty, but His love is greater.
• We all need to have fear of the Lord. Respect Him. Humble yourself before Him. Have reverence toward Him. Submit. Cherish His presence. Yes God is love but that doesn’t mean you can get away with your sins and disrespect.
• It’s uber important to REMEMBER. Do whatever you have to do in order to remember what the Lord has done, who He is, and His promises to you. You’ll need those in the dark places. Remember these things so you cannot be tempted by the enemy.
• We do not fight against flesh and blood. Satan is real and his army is large. Demons are present and hide in plain sight. However, God is mightier and gives us all authority over these things. Walk in that authority. It doesn’t mean you won’t go through trials, but it does mean that in the midst of those trials you will have Hope and you will have Strength.
• Again, God is a GOOD Father. We can trust Him with everything. Even if it hurts, or it’s hard, or it doesn’t turn out like you think it should. He knows best and loves you more than you know and will give you more than you can imagine. Stay close to Him. You will be well taken care of, protected, and loved.
• Worship is a heart posture. There are all kinds of ways to worship the Lord, but these ways don’t matter if your heart isn’t in it. Always remember who you are worshiping and praying to.
• The name ‘Lord’ is powerful. When you call Jesus your Lord remember that it simultaneously makes you His servant.
• Prayer goes right along with fasting. Fasting produces intimacy with the Father. Fasting means you are letting go of distractions to seek after Him. Don’t make it a show. It’s private. Pray, fast, ask questions, seek answers, spend quality time with our Father, intercede for others.
Truth is, I could list things that the Father has taught me all day. These are just a small sum of revelations that I wanted to share with you.
Thanks for reading.
Love you guys.
