Our last week of ministry, seven of us got the opportunity to visit a prayer tower that overlooks the city of Kathmandu. The prayer tower is run by Pastor Narayan. After experiencing the Holy Spirit at a Christian musical festival, Pastor Narayan gave his life to Christ through the help of another Pastor. He attended Bible school where God gave him a vision to start a prayer tower. Part of his vision involved rescuing people with disabilities from homes in Nepal. If you have a disability, you are considered worthless to your family here in Nepal. They are usually rejected and/or abandoned because they do not cannot bring in any income. Pastor Narayan works together with Pastor Mike to rescue them and bring them to the prayer tower. There, they have the opportunity to encounter Christ, live in community and fulfill the great commission through intercession.

They have been praying for 17 years straight at the prayer tower. Each person that lives there has a two hour block. They have a rotating schedule to ensure that everyone participates and prayer never ceases. They pray for individuals, churches and one country everyday. Pastor Narayan’s vision joined together with Pastor Mike’s to rescue people with disabilities and 25-30 people live there now.

I will say that I have never felt the presence of God so strongly in one place before. The Bible says where two or more are gathered, Jesus is there also. It is evident in the air that the Holy Spirit lives in those walls. He flows in the wind and dwells in the hearts of those people. I see him in Pastor Narayan’s eyes, the smiles of the people and in the beauty of the building.

We got the privilege of painting, building and gardening to help create a more sustainable home for these people. We also got the opportunity to participate in fellowship and prayer. It was a powerful experience. It challenged my faith in the power of prayer and encouraged me in the powerful presence of God. I cannot express the beauty that I saw in those people. Pastor Narayan’s heart is a heart of gold. God is after the whole country of Nepal. He is after every heart.

Here is a video that displays all of this beauty. If the video below does not work, click on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlsHAbh-aog&feature=youtu.be

We are headed to Thailand, God is so good.
